Programs

The Program Committee is responsible for the development and implementation of all programming at OLLI, including ongoing, interest-based and standalone programs. Committee members identify and schedule presenters and interest group facilitators and publish OLLI print catalogues and course descriptions on the public website. The committee meets the second Friday of every month from 10 am to 12 pm, making decisions that impact overall programming or individual program items.

Responsibilities include:

  • Program Coordinator (Co-Chair): Oversees the development and scheduling of presentations, mini-series, tours, and events.
  • Committee Secretary: Records attendance and meeting minutes, sends out meeting notices, and minutes by email and prepares the monthly volunteer report.
  • Program Reps: Recruit, schedule, and introduce presenters.
  • Calendar Consultant: Finds open dates/times for scheduling presenters within 24-36 hours.
  • Program Information Editors: Review and enter program submissions in Campus CE.
  • Substitute Hosts: Introduce presenters when Program Reps are unavailable.
  • Catalog Publisher: Responsible for final print and online catalog production.
  • Attendance Data Analyst: Compiles monthly/quarterly statistics.

Get involved with the Programs Committee and help shape the educational experiences of OLLI members! This is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with others, bring new ideas to life, and make a meaningful contribution to our programming efforts.
