Ice cores can be used to understand the environmental history of Earth, including past changes in natural processes and pollution. Ice cores from Greenland and Antarctica provide some of the most well-known records of environmental change, but ice cores from glaciers and other smaller ice features can also tell us about the climate history of a region. We will focus on exploring what can be learned from ice cores drilled into these more obscure ice features.
