This course is based on the Annenberg PBS series Destinos: An Introduction to Spanish, which consists of 52 video episodes (available free online) along with accompanying instructional materials provided to participants. This semester will cover approximately the first quarter to one-third of the Destinos series, with future semesters continuing the progression. The class is designed for intermediate students as well as motivated beginners, and prior Spanish instruction is recommended.
Learn Spanish with Destinos, Part 2. A continuation of the 4 part course using the acclaimed PBS video series in the form of a telenovela with 52 episodes. Students learn Spanish while following a compelling story that’s especially suited for developing listening comprehension skills. Instructor provides grammar lessons, speaking opportunities and abundant reading materials. Parts 3 and 4 will be offered in future terms. New students should have completed one semester of Spanish or equivalent.
